About Deepanshu

I write at the
seam between
psychology & code.

I'm a Psychology and Computer Science graduate from Delhi University & IGNOU, building theoretical models of how minds work and translating them into essays, books, and conversations with the internet.

still asking why.

I grew up in Meerut, where contradictions live comfortably beside each other.

Temples and coaching centres. Ancient stories and smartphones. Ambition and resignation. People carrying entire worlds inside them while pretending everything was fine.

In 2021, I moved to Delhi to study Computer Science at the University of Delhi. The plan was simple enough: learn to build software, get a job, become useful.

I liked code.

But code never became the thing I thought about on the walk home.

What fascinated me were the people using it.

Why does one heartbreak change a person forever while another becomes a story they laugh about years later? Why do we misunderstand each other so consistently? Why do some ideas survive generations while others disappear overnight?

So while studying computer science, I found myself reading psychology, philosophy, literature, and neuroscience with the same intensity I once reserved for programming textbooks.

Eventually, one degree became two.

I began studying psychology formally, conducting research on perception and social bias, writing fiction, publishing poetry, and hosting long conversations with strangers on my podcast.

The deeper I went, the more the same pattern appeared everywhere.

Stories shape behaviour. Behaviour shapes systems. Systems shape stories.

Technology changes people, and people change technology right back.

Today my work sits somewhere between psychology, storytelling, and technology. I write novels about grief, love, and identity. I explore human behaviour through research. I build ideas that attempt to bridge cognitive science with the realities of contemporary Indian life.

I am less interested in having answers than I am in asking better questions.

The questions have changed over the years, but they all point toward the same thing:

Why do we become who we become?

Everything I create (whether it's a book, a conversation, a research project, or a piece of software) is my attempt to understand that mystery a little better.

If I can name what's happening inside you, maybe
I can name what's happening inside me.
— That's the whole project.

The ecosystem I'm building.

— Reach

A quiet mailing list,
a loud internet.

My work has found its way across social media, long-form essays, podcasts, and communities built around politics, psychology, and ideas. The audience spans students, professionals, creators, and curious minds — people who stay not for the content but for the conversation it starts. Whether it's a thread that travels, a podcast episode that gets shared years later, or a book that gets gifted to a friend, the reach has always grown through trust rather than tactics.

If you want to collaborate, sponsor, or simply be part of something being built with intention, the inbox is always open.
